Before a domain name is registered and fully propagated to your new Create.com nameservers, there are several ways to view your site and begin testing the domains you have added to your cPanel.
Important Note: Some of these options are related to third party extensions and software that are not affiliated to us. As such, we are not able to troubleshoot these issues easily. We recommend pointing your domain to our nameservers, as your website will not work exactly as intended, or permalinks will not work correctly until your domain resolves and DNS has propagated.
Option 1 - Migration Tool
We offer a migration tool in the Customer Portal that can migrate cPanel content over to our servers. When the migration gets completed it will provided a VIEW RESULTS! When you click this button, it will open a new tab showing you a preview of your site by using a temporary proxy URL. Please note that this will only display the primary domain for the account. For more information on how to migrate your website over to us please read this article: How to migrate your content over to Create.com.
Option 2 - Browser Extensions
There are a few web browser extensions that allows you to view your site on different servers, but the one we found to be the most useful is called virtual host. This extension only requires you to enter the domain name and the server IP address to work.
Option 3 - Proxy Website
Proxy websites are a similar to using a browser extension, but you will be going to a website to preview your site there. The link below is the proxy site that we have found to be the most useful, but be aware some content may not be compatible with their proxy site, so it may not display correctly.
- https:/kproxy.com
Option 4 - Temp/Proxy URL
We have a Proxy URL / Temporary URL available for any domains or addon domains that are added to your cPanel.
To view your site with our temporary URL, you would enter the domain in the format below: https://domain_com_cPanel_IP_Address.workshop.theinternet.host.

Option 5 - Hosts File
The hosts file is a file on your local computer, so we only recommend editing this file if your are experienced in doing so. By editing this file your change how your system locates your website. It will instruct your browser to route the domains you choose to the IP you define.
