A package is what determines the features and quotas for each cPanel account, it can be considered as a hosting plan. This is a key feature for all of our reseller hosting packages that can be found in the WHM. We provide three default packages that can be used when creating a new cPanel account. You have the ability to create as many and as customizable as you want.  One important thing to keep in mind when creating multiple cPanels with packages is that the total of all created cPanel allocated resources can not exceed the limit of the over all disk and bandwidth limit of the reseller hosting package.

The way to utilize the default packages that we provide for your new cPanels is by logging into your WHM and clicking on Create a New Account icon on the right side or by selecting it on the left menu options.

This is where you are able to create new cPanels for your reseller package. Once on this page you'll see displayed the default packages that we have created for our reseller customers to use.

**Note: The Resources or cPanel features such as Max Subdomains, Parked Domains  and Addon Domains are default and non-changeable. If you would like to edit these features for the intended cPanel, you will have to add a new package and edit it as necessary.

Changing the default cPanel settings/features for the Primary domain will also require you to create a new package or assign an existing package. To access the area needed to change the package of the primary domain click on the icon for List Accounts. Here you will click the plus sign (+) to the left of the domain name. In the dropdown shown, click the icon Change Plan.

Here you will see the 3 default packages as well as any of the packages you have created to choose. If you do not have any created, you will need to do so first before updating the cPanel.

Creating a New cPanel Package

To create your own custom package you will need to click on Add a Package on the left tool bar listed under "Packages" section. The page that loads will first require you to name the package. This process will allow you to create your own specific account settings to be used by yourself or any prospective clients you may have. Once edited, save the package and you will now have access to reuse this option for any future cPanels created.

Keep in mind for custom packages created, you have access to edit them individually at anytime once assigned. For an example if an existing cPanel needs more disk space or wants to add more addon domains, you will access the Modify Account button under the domain when on the List Accounts  screen as shown above.
