The Redirects interface allows you to send all of the visitors of a domain or particular page to a different URL. For example, if you create a page with a long URL, you can use the Redirects interface to add a redirect from a short URL to the long URL. Visitors can enter the short URL to access the content of the long URL.
First you have to choose what type of redirect you want to setup. Most will want to chose Permanent.
Permanent (301) — This setting notifies the visitor’s browser to update its records.
Temporary (302) — This setting does not update the visitor’s bookmarks.
Then you enter the domain that you want to redirect to another URL. This will forward any variation of the domain, http or https, www or no www. If you wish to redirect a subfolder like domain.com/support to another URL, you can add that into the directory field.
Finally, you choose the destination URL. In this example, we're forwarding to https://testdomainnewserver.io as a permanent 301 redirect.
If you wish to delete or an existing redirect, you can do so at the bottom of the page under the Current Redirects heading.
